I think the squirrels would provide the best entertainment value. Though perhaps less certainty as to effectiveness.

But wouldn't spring break be bearable if you could just send the kids outside? If, for example, we had pleasant, springlike weather? I know, it's too much to wish for...

I thought about adding that to the list of options -- let the kids out, lock the door, turn out the lights. Nobody's home! ( I know, a little too much gallows humor)

Oh, sweetie. I should have come home early.

Instead, I sit in my cube, trembling like the loathsome coward that I am.

That's ok, sweetheart. You saw our opening and you took it. Now's your chance to run. Run, and never look back!

Unfortunately, i think they would fall under the heading "hazardous materials" and the Post Office would refuse to attempt delivery.

Ours was two weeks ago, and I still haven't recovered. Courage, friend!

That courage wouldn't come in 12 ounces, would it? I'm thinking a long night of hard drinking will really help.

Oh go for it, I'm sure your kids will tiptoe around quietly waiting a few extra hours for breakfast so you can sleep it off in the morning.

They're really considerate about being quiet.

Actually, I remember that they are.

I got to sleep in a few days on J's break because we worked out in advance that he could wake up and go straight to playing computer games, which kept him happily occupied until someone got around to making breakfast.

That's Arie's normal routine in the morning -- at 7am it's ok to go downstairs and play on the computer while Haddayr and I hit the snooze a couple dozen times and then come down to get breakfast by 8am. It's not so much the sleep that is my problem -- it's the constant battles between the boys (which can just as quickly devolve into untethered hysteria and chaos).

Wow. I am rather shocked that the heavy drinking (my vote) isn't doing better. I guess I can see the appeal of the squirrels as well....

Heavy drinking was my first thought, as well.
