They did a five and a half minute story on her "Thanks but no thanks" fabrication, including an interview with the guy who coined the name "Bridge to Nowhere."

They also followed it up with a pretty funny story on putting lipstick on pigs.

Palin was McCain's last gasp, and now he's down to Rove-style "hardball" that totally ignores the issues and goes right to character assassination.

What's interesting is how quiet the media is today, since both condidates "took the day off" from campaiging for 9/11. People will have forgotten the lipstick by tomorrow, if they haven't already... I hope!

You're probably right about the lipstick being forgotten. It'll be interesting how hard Gibson goes after Palin in his interview. I'm assuming it's going to pretty much be a softball interview though, otherwise the McCain campaign wouldn't have allowed him to talk to her. I'm also looking forward to the debates when issues will start playing a larger role.

Yes -- the debates ought to show people the truth about all the candidates. If people watch...

Charlie Gibson is such a tool.

I still wonder how he managed to turn himself into a "legitimate" journalist after his stint on Good Morning America.
