Well, we've got the pictures, at least.

Yesterday, Éiden spent most of the day making a Giant Tiger out of paper. He first cut out all the pieces of paper he needed, then I helped him assemble it and drew a few lines so he could color stripes ("I'm not very good at doing that," he said, by way of explanation for why he wanted them). The rest was all him -- the coloring, the cutting, the drawing, and the plans. Here's the result:

Unfortunately, though it's the first "real" thing he's made (i. e. it looks like what it's supposed to be and isn't just a bunch of scribbles), he made it for his friend at school, and, no matter how much I or
haddayr tried to convince, he would not let us keep it, nor would he give it to anyone in the family (not even the big brother who he worships and adores). "Weeeeeellllll, no," was his response to each new suggested recipient.
So, this morning, we bid adieu to the Giant Tiger, and Éiden brought it in to school and gave it to his friend.
