Is is just me
Sep. 4th, 2008 03:27 pmOr is anyone else creeped out by the "Country First" signs accompanied by full-throated chants of "U-S-A! U-S-A!"? All political rallies with chants and slogans, regardless of affiliation, border on the edge of creepiness simply because of they remind me (and others, I'm sure) of something out of Triumph of the Will. Those "Country First" signs, though, with their implication of "My country, right or wrong," along with the jingoistic "U-S-A!" chant, make this year's RNC seem to come closer to a Nuremberg rally than any I've seen in a while.
