Together we are an unstoppable force of unpleasantness

Frodo, our anxiety ridden German Shepherd, and I have a lovely new game.  Whenever I'm typing at the computer, he leaps to his feet to join me in the guest room.  Once there, he begins pacing the room, panting and licking.  He'll lay down for a few moments, lick the floor or his lips some, and then once again leap to his feet and start pacing the room.  Now my part of the game comes in.  I snap my fingers at him, point at the door and, if needed, issue a stern, low-voiced "OUT!" in case he needs any clarification as to what he should be doing.  Frodo will leave the room and then, moments later, return to the doorway, staring in nervously, after which he'll start the whole process again!  We've played this game five times now just while I wrote this post.  Ahh, just let me sit down to write and the good times are sure to commence!

He doesn't want petting and reassurance. He just wants to pace and lick the floor. Seriously (and I know because I've tried it).
