Another reason why I hate Yuppies

Yesterday, in searching for a sugar-free dessert for haddayr's birthday, I ventured to dreaded location of Whole Foods.  There I watched Yuppies wearing organic cotton, buying their "green" 7th Generation cleaning supplies, purchasing organic produce and humanely raised beef and carefully placing each of their purchases into "earth-friendly" tote bags.  When they were done, they walked out of the store, reusable totes in hand and a sense of  environment-saving satisfaction on their lips, to get into one of the countless huge-ass, 5 miles-to-the-gallon SUV's that filled the parking lot as far as the eye could see.

Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk. You could have shopped co-op, but, nooo, you just HAD to go look down on the gas-suckers, didn't you....

It's the first time I'd ever been there and the only reason I went was because Trader Joe's website inaccurately claimed that they sold sugar-free brownie mix. As I drove back, I saw Whole Foods and I figured I'd try them so that the trip might not be a complete waste (which it wasn't. I found blue agave nectar and was able to make an awesome sugar-free carrot cake!).
