I sometimes wonder what the hell my kids hear coming out of my mouth.  I think I'm speaking English but all I get are blank looks.

And sometimes, when they try to talk to me, I have to ask my husband if THEY are speaking English.

My favorite are the non-sequiturs, like at dinner, Arie will ask, "Why did those men do that?" "What men?" "You know, those men that were working." "Which men?" "They were at school." "But I wasn't at school with you, honey." "Oh. But what do you think they were doing?"
