I heard the Banana Splits theme song last night on Sound Opinions and was immediately transported back to grade school. The Banana Splits always came on before I got home from school so I usually only saw the last bit unless I stayed home sick from school. I had no idea what theme park the Banana Splits were at in the intro but I thought it was somewhere in New York or New Jersey. Wherever it was, I wanted to go there, sure that I'd see one of the Banana Splits in person.

And now, for your listening pleasure, "The Tra-La-La Song."  As one of the hosts of Sound Opinions said last night, if you don't love this song, you don't love rock and roll.

Obviously, it's bubble-gum pop but there's certain songs like it that I just can't listen to enough times. Part of it is probably that I remember it from child hood but I'm also a sap for pop hooks. Sorry you hated it.

Hated this show, but always watched for THE ARABIAN NIGHTS cartoon.

Someone is developing a new version.

I saw that at Wikipedia. I think when I was a kid I liked anything that was shiny and colorful (and had singable music) which doesn't say a whole lot for my taste in TV.
