janradder1. Saturday night I dreamt that I was on a date with Sarah Palin. She was very friendly and polite -- quite a nice person, in fact. We spent the day talking about my grandfather and the Red Sox. I should have known this was a bad omen for last night's game.
2. Whenever I go into fabric stores, I get the oddest looks from all the women there, almost as if I've walked into the ladies room. They look both completely baffled as to what might bring me there and not a little hostile.
3. I do not understand why people feel the need to berate salespeople. A woman at the fabric store was upset that the fabric she was buying was not waiting for her at the cutting table as her husband had requested nor was it 30% off as she claimed someone on the phone told her husband. Rather than explaining all of this to the woman at checkout she told her, "You really don't know anything, do you?" And then berated her some more for running a shoddy store even though the woman at the register had nothing to do with the mixup. In the end, the manager gave her the 30% off and an apology and she probably left thinking, "Hah -- I showed them! I got what I wanted!" though she more than likely would have gotten the same result if she had been calm and polite in her interaction.
4. I must be maturing because last night, though I did have trouble getting to sleep, I did not throw anything or run outside at the end of the game and yell "FUCK YOUUUU!!!!!" to the heavens at the top of my lungs.
5. I am the King of Preschool Comedy. Which doesn't say much because anyone can be the King (or Queen) of Comedy among the pre-K set. Want to know the secret? Just say the word "poop."
