haddayr, knowing I was sad and hearing that I was listening to Nick Drake, told me to stop listening to him in the mood I was in, or else I would commit suicide. "But it would be a sad yet heartbreakingly beautiful suicide that somehow seems to inspire hope at the same time," was my response. To me, that pretty much describes everything about Nick Drake. He's horribly, horribly sad, yet in the despair of his songs there's still something bright and beautiful that you can grab onto and hold and know that in the end, things will be okay, even when it's hard to believe that can ever be true. "Which Will," to me, is one of his best.
