Just as it is a universal truth that all Carpenters songs make me fee like locking myself in the garage with a running car, just about every Devo song ever written makes me feel like jumping up to dance and thank heaven that I'm alive. "The day My Baby Gave Me a Surprise" is no exception. I love this song. Love, love, love this song. It's got a great beat, and you can dance to it. And the video is just damn goofy. In fact, just thinking about it makes me happy.
