Updates in 3
May. 20th, 2010 09:45 amWow. I'm looking at my lj and noticing that I haven't posted anything in over a month (which is probably due to the fact that I haven't looked at lj in about that long). So, to make sure I don't go through all of May, I thought I'd give a quick update as to what I've been doing (which is why I haven't been posting or reading).
1. I've got my queries letters out for Immature Loser Punk and have had seven agents ask for either a full or partial manuscript. Unfortunately, after reading my manuscript five of them have passed. I'm still crossing my fingers on the other two.
2. Luckily, I haven't had a whole lot of time to think about agents or what's happening with my memior because I've been furiously busy lining up interviews for Color Me Obsessed, the documentary about the Replacements I'm co-producing. The director and his crew of two will be coming to Minneapolis in just two weeks now and my job is to make sure their days are so packed with interviews that they barely have time to eat or sleep while they're here. At this point, it looks like I might achieve that goal, but I still have some work to do.
3. Which means I haven't had much time for my other job, taking care of the house. It feels like I'm constantly behind on laundry, cleaning, and yardwork and I'm sure there's something else I should be doing that I've completely forgotten about. I've already cut back onmy expectations for what I can accomplish around here, and I'm thinking that I may need to cut back on my garden this year as well. I'm not even sure when exactly I'll have time to put in the few easy-to-care-for plants I'm thinking of sticking in the ground. Hopefully, though, because the kids are older they can help out more with the planting.

3) Take it from me, housework will always be there! I'm so glad its 1&2 that's taking all your time.

3) The housework is always there, but I'm worried about how by leaving it there's so much more that's there when I finally get around to it -- still, it's nice to have other stuff going on in my life besides housework.
