The perfect way to spend a Halloween afternoon

Watching my seven year old carve his first pumpkin all by himself while my five year old does a spastic punk dance to the Misfits song that's playing in the other room.

There was an international dancing exhibition at the Global Market down the road from my house. We went right after a bunch of insanely adorable little kids doing Mexican folk dancing. We actually got some folks from the audience to come participate, too!

We use those pumpkin saws that are made for kids rather than knives -- there a hell of a lot easier and there's much less fear of accidently slicing your finger.
