For the past days I've been sleeping horribly, so I bought a new pillow and pad for our bed thinking it would help. It did, but unfortunately, I woke up with one of the worst migraines I've had in recent memory. After two maxalts, four advil, several hours of sleep and a few more hours awake, the pain finally went away, but I've been in a fog the entire day. I'm just looking forward to tucking the boys in bed, sitting up for maybe an hour more, and then going back to sleep.

Oh man that's horrible :(

Did you wash and/or sun the pillow? I hardly ever have headaches and have never had a migraine, but every non-dehydration headache I've ever had is from some sort of new-product coating, and pillows make me swoon (in a bad way).

Unhelpfully irrelevant I'm sure, but even if it's not related to the headache, I hope you don't breathe in that crap...

I hope tomorrow is much better.

I didn't air out the pillow, but I don't think that was the cause, just because it really didn't smell very strong out of the plastic and not at all with two pillow cases on. Rather, I think it was the series of storms we had overnight that brought in a new pressure system. Those get me every time.

It's not irrelevant, by the say. If there hadn't been the storms, I would have thought the pillow had something to do with it.

I know those headaches and I am SO sorry, Jan. Hope they stay way.

Thanks (Haddayr has told me you get cluster migraines). Feeling good so far today.

Yes, I get those. Hate 'em. Do you know migraines look like epileptic seizures in slow motion when you hook somebody brain up and watch the activity? Which is why it takes so long to recover after the pain is gone, I guess.

They're pretty damn awful. I hadn't realized that they looked like slo-mo epileptic seizures, though. That helps explain the calm, relaxed feeling I have when they're finally over (I've read that people often have the same feeling after epileptic seizures and electroshock therapy).

That sucks. I don't suffer from migraines, but have spent days in a fog.
