I hadn't really thought of that when reading the article or watching the video. It probably is pretty bad for her bones (as is walking upright is for humans, though, evolutionary-wise, we've had a lot longer to adjust).
Especially if she's got any shpehard in her--a breed that is cruelly subject to hip dysplasia. What the vet should've done instead was fix her up with some kind of wheeled apparatus to keep her body on the horizontal plane.
