Nice recovery
After really struggling through the first two innings in which he threw near 60 pitches to get just six outs and had so much trouble finding home plate (and the pitches he was missing with really weren't anywhere near the strike zone), Matsuzaka finally settled down, retiring the final seven batters he faced and, nine of ten over the last three innings. In the third he seemed to really find himself and the strike zone. I'd be surprised if he was out for a sixth inning of work.

He leaves with his team down 2 runs which is really not a bad place to be. If the Red Sox lose this one, it would be really hard to put the blame on Dice-K.
