Exchange with my son Éiden

In a fit of anger today, Éiden put his hat in the refrigerator.  I came across this later and asked him why he put his hat in the fridge.

"Because I thought it was milk, but it wasn't."

"Oh," I said, laughing.  "I thought you were a weirdo and you were!"

"Yeah," he said.  "I am a weirdo."

He's 2-ish, right?

He's three. And quite the cut-up.

I tell you, 2-3 year olds are nuts. Just goof balls of the first water. I do like that age.

I cannot wait to get my arms around that little weirdo!

What I love is that he felt the best expression of anger was putting his hat in the fridge. THAT will show you!

A couple months ago I had somehow offended his sensibilities. "Fine," he told me. "Then I'll take off my pants!" I'm not sure what the intended consequence was but he did carry out the threat as I laughed.

Thank you. I do as well.

The Boy Who Mistook His Hat for a Milk.

Once, I put the phone in the fridge (because I got distracted while putting away groceries, I think. Later, when it was ringing, it was curiously muffled and I couldn't find it.

I don't think i've ever put the phone in the fridge but I have stacked canned goods in it when returning from shopping trips.
