The lovely and adorable

[livejournal.com profile] haddayr gave it to me for my 40th birthday. It's a limited edition Grant Hart 7-inch (only 75 were pressed). Grant made individual sleeves for each record (you can see all of them here) and signed and numbered them (mine's #28). And aside from the coolness factor of having a piece of vinyl like it, the B-side, "811B-39 (L.O.F.)," is absolutely fucking awesome (the A-side, "You're the Reflection" is an alternate version of the song that opens Hot Wax). As you might expect with the title, it's an experimental piece putting together a sonic landscape filled with distorted pounding, what sounds like a church organ, and some exquisite feedback. It's probably not everyone's bag, but for me it was pure, blissful heaven.
