Thanks to a suggestion from
haddayr , via one of her friends, I spent the morning working on my book at a coffee shop near Éiden's school after I dropped him off this morning, instead of driving home to work. Right now I'm a little more than halfway through the second draft. Not as far as I had hoped to be but still good progress considering I lost about a month to the Olympics and the conventions.
Today I worked on a section I've been dreading and putting off for the past couple days. I have two and a half chapters of tangled-up crap with only about fifty usable words in them that need to be untangled and condensed into one. At home, I just couldn't bring myself to even get started, but in a coffee shop, away from the distractions of home, I was able to get about half of it done. Hopefully, I should be able to finish it tonight. I'm really grateful for the advice to find a place near Éiden's school, though, and looking forward to working there again on Wednesday.
