David Carradine is dead.

He was found sometime Thursday in his hotel room in Thailand, after hanging himself. He'll probably be most remembered for his role as Caine in Kung Fu, but it's his role as Frankenstein in Death Race 2000 that I'll always remember him for. Very sad news.

I heard he'd died, but not the suicide part. Sad. He didn't have a great rep--heavy drinker, difficult, unhappy. Too bad KILL BILL didn't do much for him. I'll remember his as Keith Carradine's angry brother...

Yeah, the article had a quote from him where he sounded bitter about not getting better roles, and Kill Bill never did for him what Pulp Fiction did for John Travolta. I hadn't known about the drinking until I'd read the obituary, though.
