Major League Baseball has just premiered it's HD streaming video player and it is absolutely fucking beautiful. I just watched part of a game between the U.S. and Venezuela (which I couldn't give a rat's ass about except that the image was gorgeous) to check it out. Of course, there's always the chance, especially since it's a Beta product) that there will be all sorts of problems with it but for now, at least, I'm seriously looking forward to watching this season online.

You can actually get High Definition on your computer? Wow! Looks like I'll be signing up for MLB on line too - just to see what it looks like.

Opening day is sure coming up quickly. It seems like we were just starting basketball season a few weeks ago, and now it's tournament time. (Speaking of college basketball, have you seen the UConn women or followed them at all this season? They are incredible!)

Unfortunately, you can't get Red Sox games online in CT because of blackout restrictions, though if you're willing to shell out money for a High Def TV, I think NESN broadcasts in HD (though maybe not over Directv).

I haven't seen any of the women's games but I've read a little about them. They are incredible. I read about how that one player who came out with 8 minutes left in the Big East title game had single-handedly outscored the other team. I did get a chance to see two of the men's games, though. I really don't see how they're going to get past Pitt -- they seemed to dominate UConn in both games. Calhoun thinks they can do it, though. We'll see.

It is! It looks even better than our television (though that's not saying a whole lot).
